Course information

ISM is designed for the early years workforce and healthcare professionals to improve information sharing across the early years sector. The programme is made up of eLearning, face-to-face group activities and other useful resources. It has been produced by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and 4Children with valuable input from the Community Practitioners and Health Visitor Association (CPHVA).

ISM is designed to improve your knowledge, skills and understanding of the benefits of effectively sharing information in a professional context.

This programme was funded by the Department of Health and endorsed by the Department for Education and the Community Practitioners and Health Visitor Association (CPHVA).

Learning objectives:

  • Understand what information can and cannot be shared in a context of integrated working
  • Discuss the range of benefits to children and families related to information sharing with a focus on improving outcomes
  • Use and share a range of good practice within and between individuals and organisations
