Course information

Welcome to the RCPCH Vaccines In Practice eLearning course. This course has been designed to primarily facilitate the development of skills in communicating the benefits of vaccination. This course covers the foundation of clinical vaccinology relevant to UK practitioners working with children.

Learning objectives:

  • Describe the rationale behind vaccination programmes
  • Explain the design of the UK vaccination schedule using basic immunology principles
  • Communicate basic concepts of vaccination to parents effectively
  • Develop consultation skills in counselling vaccine-hesitant parents
  • Access resources and specialist advice on vaccination
