How to Manage: Paediatric Allergy Training 3 (PAT3)
This is the third of a series of three Paediatric Allergy Training study days that focus on the practical clinical management of allergy in children and young people.
This course will take you through the practical aspects of recognising and managing paediatric allergy. Topics covered include: urticaria, venom allergy, drug allergy and complex allergy cases
Using interactive workshops, we will explore severe non IgE mediated food allergy, ‘grey cases’ of food allergy, anaphylaxis, and the management of severe eczema as well as severe asthma.
Please note the course is designed for delegates who have already attended PAT 2. You need to attend PAT 2 prior to attending PAT 3.
The PAT courses provide healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills required to effectively manage children with food allergies and their comorbid allergic conditions.

The Revd. Dr Mich Lajeunesse is a Consultant in Paediatric Allergy & Immunology at Southampton Children’s Hospital, and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Southampton. He was appointed to Southampton in 2008 and is the lead NHS consultant for the Regional Children’s Allergy Service. Dr Lajeunesse is actively involved in food allergy research, allergic reactions to vaccines and immunotherapy. He is a member of the teaching faculty of the Allergy MSc course at the University of Southampton and leads the RCPCH PAT course series
This online course will focus on the practical, clinical management of allergy in children and young people. It is the first in a series of three Paediatric Allergy Training (PAT) courses provided by the RCPCH.
